Greenland (2015-2017)
Greenland captures the world's second largest body of ice as it undergoes rapid change during the peak of the summer melt. Captured over two years from chartered flights, the survey draws from more than 3,000 photographs.
Seen from above, the ice - which spans over 650,000 square miles and is up to two miles deep - reveals intricate patterns of meltwater moving through channels and collecting in pools.
Part of Surface Surveys (2015–2019), this work is a study of impermanence and the evolving face of one of the world’s most fragile environments.
